Porque é que eu me lembro de um qualquer Rapto de Perséfone , daqueles do século XVII, a propósito da sequência do rapto de Rey por Ren, em O Despertar da Força?

Há coisas explícitas no caso da carga sexual patente nas pinturas, que não está tão explícita em O Despertar da Força, mas..
Naquela sequência espantosa, iniciada com o rapto e prolongada no interrogatório, ela dorme e ele fica a observá-la…
Não sei se já perceberam a insistência neste ponto. Ele trouxe-a nos braços para a sua nave e vai interrogá-la. Esqueceu-se de tudo, particularmente do robot que tinha informações vitais para ele poder fazer frente à eficácia de Hux (no fundo, o seu maior inimigo da First Order) , mas a verdade é que ficou cego com ela, julga que domina tudo, está confortável e completamente mergulhado na situação criada.
Está tão confiante que tira a máscara, porque quer que ela o veja, naturalmente.
Este tirar a máscara é quase indecente.

Surpresa. O tipo parece ser humano e até tem luz. 

Ela reage com surpresa, ele pousa abruptamente a máscara.Teremos que perceber melhor este movimento simbólico (o capacete atirado às cinzas, mais tarde ao chão, imediatamente antes de matar o pai).

Será? diz ele, e continua confiadamente a abusar dela.
Mas ela  resiste, e de repente diz-lhe coisas sobre o medo dele.

Está aqui toda a matéria para o mais épico e proibido romance de todos os tempos.
Anakin caiu por causa de Padmé. Pode ser que Ben se salve por causa de Rey, já que está perdido por ela, ela é o caminho para o aparente poder que ele deseja. Mas parece que se apaixonou... não?
Bem, o mito de Hades e Perséfone estão implícitos, mas a novidade é o véu que se estabelece entre eles e sobre o futuro deles, embora seja claro que ele está amaldiçoado e  que vai tudo dar para o torto, como com Heathcliff.
Mal posso esperar pelo episodio VIII...

Excelente. Já se percebeu que ele vai ter que fazer uma escolha, e essa escolha está entre salvá-la ou matá-la... mas também já se percebeu que um não pode viver sem o outro. Acho que está lá tudo, neste primeiro filme da nova trilogia... o ponto vai ser restaurar o equilíbrio na força, e já se viu que o ponto de equilíbrio está entre estes dois.

A cena é crucial para clarificar o que se passa... se isto não é o ponto de equilíbrio na Força, não sei... Ele parece já saber tudo sobre o que pode haver entre eles, mas quer dominá-la. Ela ainda não, mas vai descobrir em breve. De qualquer forma, já estão ligados para sempre.
Haunted, amigos, haunted and binded forever. Assombrados e ligados para sempre, porque já descobriram que sentem a mesma coisa.
Só falta perceber quem é que vai salvar quem, ele a ela ou ela a ele...

«To understand Campbell's view of Star Wars, one must have some sense of his overall philosophy of religion. Campbell had very little formal education in religious studies. He studied Medieval European literature, Romance philology, and modem literature, especially the works of James Joyce and Thomas Mann. His main encounter with religion began through editing the posthumous writings of Indologist Heinrich Zimmer and through working with Swami Nikhilananda translating and editing the Upanishads. On the subject of mythology, he was an autodidact without formal training. 3 When one looks at Campbell's assessment of religions in his published writings, this background is evident. Many of his examples come from modem or medieval literature with little explicit reference to religion. When he does speak of religions, he shows a decided preference for Hinduism's conception of the divine and salvation, and in particular, the traditions of monistic Vedanta. He degrades the western religions, Judaism in particular, for sharply distinguishing God from the world. "The Biblical image of the universe simply won't do any more,4 writes Campbell, and he also claims that in eastern religions the ultimate divine mystery is sought beyond all human categories of thought and feeling, beyond names and forms .... Anthropomorphic attributions of human sentiments and thoughts to a mystery beyond thought is--from the point of view of Indian thought--a style of religion for children.»
